Lets Get Right To It

Thanks for coming back.Lets get right into it the #2 most valuable thing i have learned is I needed to identify my bad eating habits and learn how to change them and for me it was very difficult at first but once I learned why I did the wrong thing it made it alot easier. I have been eating to many high carb and high sugar products for so long that my insulin production was to high and when i would go for any period of time without carbs or sweets my blood sugar would drop my body would think it was hungry and the cravings would start. Once I learned how to get my blood sugar levels regulated and my insulin production at normal levels the cravings stopped and i  started feeling much better. Without those cravings i feel more in control and now I can concentrate on making sure i get the proper nutrition. This small bit of knowledge coupled with my long term and short term weekly goals has made this process almost effortless for me and like the many times before when i have had difficulties and gave up this had really been the key element that has kept me moving forward. Many thanks for youre time and support come back soon as I will keep updating and sharing my info. Scott

Lots Of Information To Share

Thanks for stopping by and let me start by saying i have spent well over a year researching diet programs and eating habits to find out what works and more importantly why or how some diets work and some don't. The main reason for me doing this is like many people i have tried many things that have not worked for me and i wanted to know why. So here is what have learned #1 you must prepare yourself mentally and what i mean by this is you have to have goals that are very important to you and very precise (you will not get the results you want if you don't know exactly what you want ) Don't just say i want to lose weight. Set some goals both short term and long term The importance of these goals will be crucial the more you get into your program as they will give you a gauge to let you know how things are working they will also help give you motivation to continue when things get a little rough. The reason i listed this first is because i believe this is the most important step in  the process YOU MUST HAVE A GOOD WHY.  I will continue in my next post thanks for stopping by.Scott

A Few More Days A Few More Pounds

Hello and welcome back it has been a great week and today when I stepped on my scale I was really surprised.  I weighed myself 3 times just to be sure and all I can say is woohoo 257.8!!!! I am really getting excited and I feel great. Almost 21 pounds in roughly 3 weeks and if I keep this up I will need new clothes soon. Now I don't want to sound like Debbie Downer but I want to challenge anyone who needs to lose weight to get started now. It won't take long to see and feel the improved health and vitality. The number one cause of premature death in the U.S. is diet and lifestyle. Diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure are all linked to diet and lifestyle and kill more people than smoking and alcohol combined. I feel that what this statistic is leaving out though is the reduced quality of life and only focuses on the quantity. Think about it this way, would you rather live 10 years happy and healthy or 15 years sick and miserable. Good news is most healthy happy people also live longer. With that said hopefully we will all be here for a long time. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you come back. Scott

P.S. post some comments I would like to hear what anyone has to say about the blog and my progress.

2 for 1

I will call this blog 2 for 1 because I am doing 2 updates today. I work as a mechanic for fire and rescue and as part of my job I have a 2 week on call cycle where I am on call 24 hours a day for 2 weeks and they have kept me very busy. Now for the good news my weight as of Friday September 30th was down to 263.6 from a start of 278.6. Now I should explain the way this Ignite program works. You stay on it for 8 days then you take a break for 2-3 days to let your system adjust to the changes. Then you repeat the cycle as many times as you need to until you reach your ultimate goal. Pretty simple right ????  I am really impressed with my results and my energy level has been better than it has been in 10 years. A grand total of 15 pounds in just over a week is really good and I have a new determination to follow this program. My mid section has dropped from 51 inches down to almost 47 inches and I just about need a belt to hold my work pants up. As always thanks for stopping by. Scott

It's Starting To Happen

I just finished my first week with my weight loss program and am pleased with the results. My weight is down to 265.2 lbs. from a start of 278.6, a difference of 13.4 pounds in just one week. And I will say my energy level has been up by a noticeable amount. Now let me tell you about the products I am using and why. The company is named Xyngular. I chose them because all of their products are natural, organic and wholefoods based as well as fit within my limited budget. I looked at a lot of other programs and most were too expensive for me or very unclear about what was in their products. With Xyngular I chose the ignite package which is their most aggressive and complete package. It is an 8 day program that can be repeated as desired until you reach your goal. They also have a very complete and well thought out maintenance program along with a great support staff. Enough on that for now. I am very excited about my 1 week results and will continue the program. I would also say a big thanks to my family for supporting me and to my wife who helps me with my computer skills. Thanks for looking and check back for further results. P.S. my waistline is down to 49 inches

My Stats

I wanted to add this update to let you know where I started my journey at and what my goals are. I am 41 years old 6'1" tall and weigh 278.8 pounds. As of 9-17-11 my waist is 51 inches and my pants size is 44x32. I am not going to focus on weight as much as I am waistline and general overall health. I recently went to see my doctor for severe pain in my feet and was told I have plantar fascitis and arthritis in both legs and feet. This was very upsetting but not really surprising. For the last 8-10 years I have not been watching what I eat and getting less physical activity. Luckily for me my bloodwork still looks ok. Although everything is high there are no red flags yet. Just wanted to add a quick update and will soon be posting my personal program and results from week 1. I did not want to post my specific diet yet as I may have to tweek it a little. Thanks as always Scott

My introduction and welcome

Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Scott Holland. I started this to track my weight loss journey and share with others the steps and progress that I make. I like a lot of people have struggled for years with my weight but recently at the young age of 41 my health started to show signs of problems to come. I do not want to ignore these symptoms or worse yet start taking medication that only treat the symptom and not the cause. I have spent a great amount of time educating myself on health and nutrition and firmly believe that I can and will make radical changes in my physical wellness and quality of life.Thank you for stopping by and I hope you come back often to see how I am doing.
